I went to check out this place for the first time and found hibiscus on sales for $9.99. At checkout it was $13.99. The cashier did not believe me and told me to take a photo to show him. So I did. Then came his manager and he didn’t believe me even after seeing the photo of the sales sign taken at his own store! He told me to show him at the spot with the pot of plant I wanted to buy (shouldn’t he go check this out himself instead of making me walk another trip?) He looked at the sign, verified the label on plant I wanted to buy and bluntly asked me if I still wanted it. I said only at the sales price $9.99 and he said ok and we went back to the cash register. Instead of helping me ring the item he gave it to other cash register. The cashier had to called out to this high IQ manager again to approve the sales prices. All in total took 15 mins of wasting my time and no one even thanked me for the business nor apologized to me for the inconvenience. What an unprofessional bunch. I was calm and polite to them the entire time and did not put them down not being sarcastic. They will not earn my business ever again. I like this business in San Carlos and San Mateo when they were called

SO much better than Home Depot. People actually work here, are helpful, knowledgeable, AND have great customer service skills. Something that is very difficult to achieve, apparently. OSH has a great selection of products and services. Great garden area, also. I will be a returning customer.

This place is a wasteland of limited items and absolutely totally clueless staff. I dealt with three staff today trying to find a basic porcelain (or plastic) outlet box light fixture. One woman did not know the difference between a light bulb and a fixture, one guy was almost as badly lost, one seemed to understand what I was talking about claimed they are not made anymore. I went on Amazon and ordered two Leviton brand ones for ~$6 each with overnight delivery.

True to its name, there are many outdoor supplies here. They also have a large selection of plants, and seasonal trees 🌲 outdoor furniture and garden decorations. We came here to see if they have poinsettias. They did. While browsing the store, we ended up bought some air plants and poinsettias. The plants were very healthy. Would love to come again in the future if we ever red to buy more plants or garden soils. They have good prices!

Well stocked & helpful sales people! Now open in the former Orchard Supply Hardware location, the new OSH is a great shopping experience. Wide aisles, lots of inventory, great nursery & plenty of helpful staff. I’m happy the store is open again. Can’t wait for my next visit!
